Everyone who moves from their current arrangements to the NDIS is required to develop a plan. A NDIS plan outlines a person’s needs and goals and the disability related services and supports that require funding to achieve those goals.
Every plan is different and will have goals which are matched to support categories. Each category included in the plan will have a budget to purchase supports.
According to the NDIS, the first plan is the entry point into the NDIS and the start of a person’s relationship with the scheme. The first plan will identify the reasonable and necessary supports required to meet immediate needs and start to identify those needed to achieve goals.
